Jalandhar: The Department of Physics, DAV College, Jalandhar, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Anoop Kumar, formally launched the proceedings of the 2nd National Conference on Frontiers in Theoretical and Experimental Physics” at the office of the Principal. Dr. Kunwer Rajeev (HoD), Dr. Navjeet, Dr Sharanjeet, Dr. Ravinder kaur (Editor) were among the staff members present at the occasion. The conference aimed to unite experimentalists and theorists from across India working in diverse areas of physics. It provided a valuable forum for researchers to present their recent findings and to strengthen academic collaborations within the scientific community.
The conference witnessed active participation from 86 invitees representing reputed institutions. It offered an engaging platform for researchers and students to present their work through oral and poster presentations. The sessions spanned a wide range of research themes, promoting insightful discussions and meaningful exchange of ideas among participants. One of the major highlights of the conference was a series of expert lectures delivered by six eminent resource persons. They presented insightful discussions on a range of fascinating subjects, including Quantum Thermodynamics, High Energy Physics, Biophysics, Materials Science, and Radiation Physics. Their presentations not only showcased recent advancements in these areas but also highlighted their wider significance in advancing our understanding of physics. The sessions motivated participants to broaden their perspectives and pursue innovative directions in their research.
The published proceedings comprise 16 chapters spanning diverse branches of physics, contributed by researchers from various reputed institutions. This collection stands as an important academic reference, providing comprehensive insights into contemporary research developments and emerging trends. The formal release of the proceedings represents a significant achievement for the Department of Physics, DAV College, Jalandhar, reaffirming its dedication to promoting research excellence and strengthening the culture of scientific inquiry.
