Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33) held at Jalandhar Cantt. The 10-day camp was organized by the 2 Pb (G) Bn NCC Jalandhar, aiming to provide cadets with practical exposure to military life and training. During the camp, cadets underwent intensive training sessions including drill, weapon handling, first aid, communication skills, and leadership development. They also gained valuable knowledge about the weapons. Various lectures and workshops were conducted by Army personnel on SSB preparation, leadership qualities, and defence awareness, which helped boost the confidence and discipline of the cadets. This camp also served as an eligibility platform for cadets preparing for the B and C certificate examinations. KMV cadets brought laurels to the institution by securing a gold medal in solo singing, silver medal in group dance, silver medal in drill, and a gold medal in pilots and guards, showcasing their talent, discipline, and teamwork. Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such training programs play a significant role in empowering young women and preparing them to emerge as future leaders of the nation. She appreciated the efforts of the cadets and also lauded Lt. Sufalica Kalia and the NCC Unit for providing diverse opportunities that help students grow into confident leaders. Commanding Officer Col. R. S. Lehal praised the cadets for their dedication and outstanding performance during the camp, highlighting the importance of defence training in shaping responsible citizens.
