Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) marked National Red Cross Day with great enthusiasm, organising a series of activities to honour the spirit of
humanitarian service. The event, organised by the Department of Student Welfare, focused on sensitising the younger generation toward the ideals of the
Red Cross and the importance of selfless service to society. To commemorate the occasion, students participated in a spirited poster-making session, where
they used their artistic skills to illustrate themes of medical aid, volunteerism, and global peace. The celebration saw active participation from dedicated
students who creatively expressed the mission of the Red Cross through their artwork. Notable participants from 10+1 Arts included Ishita, Sukhreet,
Harleen, and Pari, while the 10+2 Arts stream was represented by Arshnoor, Tajinder, Manpreet, and Taranpreet Sahni, Taranpreet Sahni also played a
pivotal role in the coordination of the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the posters prepared by the students highlighted the critical role of the Red Cross in disaster
management and healthcare, serving as a visual reminder of the power of human compassion and collective action. She lauded the efforts of Dr
Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare for successfully organising the celebrations.
